just posted on here and was sorted straight away thankyou chuckfickens. other question now is i was sent a photo on my phone and put that on my computer and when i ve put it as screen saver its lots of little photos instead of one that fills the screen how do i rectify that please.

if your using the windows slideshow screen saver in XP then right click on the desktop, select properties, click on the screen savers tab and then on settings just below the pic of a monitor. then put a tick in "stretch small pictures"

the picture may look dread full when blown up though.
