wireless connection
my wireless connection was set up with a laptopand vista
operating software and everything worked ok.I havesince
added a second laptop with xp software and I now find I
ca n connect wirelessly with the xp only.The vista can onlybe connected by ethernet cable. Does anyone know
how I can restore the wireless connection to the vista
equipped laptop.

the router basically has two options ...
wired (always on)
wireless (can generally be switched on or off).
many routers provided by ISPs also have encryption set up (often WEP) which uses a 13 character "key" which has to be entered as part of each machine's setup.
both operating systems use a wizard ... so
