error red x box

My event veiwer is displaying a red error box...detailed...Application hang event 1002....hung application..Is it bad what do i do ? i think its a start up and closes down problem...user misuse of promting actions..correct or not...sean

Does it not say what application has hung? as this may be helpful information. also if it's just one warning ignore it.

mmc.ex compaq pc...Is that helpful..yes it is only one

I wouldn't worry about it if it's only one.

also MMC is the Microsoft management console and doesn't really help in this case as that will almost never be the actual source of the problem, it's used as the control interface for most MS apps and it is simply passing the information on that another app has hung.

but as I said if it is only one warning ignore it (but keep an eye out, if it reoccurs often then time to start trouble shooting)
