Laptop screen has gone supersized!

Something weird has happened to my screen and everything is huge!
I have tried changing the screen resolution but it hasn't helped much. (I have also tried turning it off and on again which is my usual remedy!)
Any and all suggestions welcome.

Something like that happened me earlier. Try pressing F11.

ok, restart your Laptop,
when it starts to .. Reboot, hold on to F8,or keep pressing it...

you should get a black screen with some options for you to select. Use the arrow keys.. to select 'Normal'. then enter,

see if that works....

ok I tried F11 but the desktoip icons are all still huge.

shivvy, i think they misunderstood you. All the ones that they are telling you to do, is to do with the webpage, not your desktop etc.

i really think you might be on SafeMode rather than ... Normal mode. Try the F8 one. (im praying that im right, if not then ... i waving the whiteflag)

AH YOU GLORIOUS ANSWERBANK PEOPLE!!
I am restored.
Things aren't exactly right yet. The text in the blue top line of my webpage is still massive but the page is normal now.
I did everything that everyone suggested and then did a restart and all came back well.
Couldn't be happier - I am back sitting near the screen again!
