Opening software gives Windows Internet Explorer 'Not responding'
3 Answers
I use Firefox as my Web browser so don't use Windows IE. I have downloaded some software but when i try and run it, it opens with Windows IE not through Firefox. Windows IE starts to run but just says 'connecting'.
Other software that has been downloaded opens and runs normally without using Windows IE.
Any ideas what i need to do, please?.

If that's what's happening in this case, then you don't have much choice but to get IE to deal with it properly.
What's the software? Do you know what it's trying to do? (For example it might be trying to take you to a welcome or registration screen for the software, or just trying to display an HTML read-me file).
