Hi,could anyone help please. My mom has just installed the above on her new computer and straight away lost internet connection. Could Norton be the cause?

you installed norton and straight away lost internet... and you think it may be connected!

I think you may be right!

I can tell you what to check for, but don't know norton so not how to check for it.... it may be easier to use the norton removal tool and then just reinstall it.

Also make sure that all other antivirus software you may have had before is un-installed through control panel > add remove programs

norton may be the cause of your internet,

first check these information's before removing the Norton 360

is your computer connected to the modem correctly check the wire connection .
check the modem light , is it blinking?
check the enable mode in my network places .

after all if the connection works well, if not

remove the Norton from the Norton removal tool

Just try to disable Norton Firewall settings.
Or make the settings to low level for internet security in Norton 360.
