How do the Companies who issue Freeware make their money from these programmes?
AVG, AVAST,SPYBOT, MALWAREBYTES to quote just a few examples.
Obviously they make money from the Full Versions, but most people seem to use the Freeware.
Those of you who are in the know will no doubt be able to enlighten me, as i'm puzzled by this.

Yes many thanks again.
When I posted original it did not appear under recent posts for some reason, hence the duplicate.
