Connecting PC hard drive to laptop
3 Answers
I was about to reformat my PC hard drive after the blue screen of death appeared (having tried everything to rectify but with no success). Just as I was about to reformat it I remembered there is a document I saved, which my son needs for his school admissions appeal.
I have recovery software etc but need access to the PC drive via my laptop. Is it possible to do and if so how easy would it be? Would that drive be a slave? Thank you

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IDE-2-0-to-USB-adapter-c able-2-5-3-5-hard-drive-DVD_W0QQitemZ360144282 107QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_CablesConne ctors_RL?hash=item360144282107&_trksid=p3286.c 0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1690|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A 1|240%3A1318
It takes laptop harddrives on one side and desktophard drives on the other (using the power adapter to power it).
The drive then shows as an extra drive on your computer and you may transfer data etc. as normal.

no you don't need any of that
download
the ultimate boot CD
http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
knoppix
http://www.knoppix.org/
or
ubuntu
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
or whatever (hiren???)
boot the machine and if it can be ... that should get you accessto the file
without any details It's difficult to advise further
but one reason for a bsod is a hdd crash ... and if that's why ... you had better start trying to remember what was in that letter
(it's not as if you don't know the person involved !!! - and starting fresh just might give you inspiration)

as we can transfer the data from one hard disk to the other hard disk is that.
we attached the hard disk to the computers hard disk and make the hard disk as secondary slave .
start the computer.
transfer all the data from the hard disk by copying from one hard disk to the another hard disk.
or you can repair the windows so that the your data will not loss . you can use the recovery software to recover the data.
