I have a problem connecting up to my wireless sky router with my laptop, it says that it is connected when I click on look for wireless networks but it is not connected.

I have tried connecting another laptop to it and it is fine.

Could it be that the wireless is not switched on, on my laptop, if so how do I turn it on.

Sorry chuck But I thought it might be a sort of universal setting to switch it on.

Its an advent 7109 and about 4 years old and that is all the info I have on it.

I do know that you are one of the tecky guys on here so I hope you can get back to me on this

looks like you need lo use the advent utility ... not the windows option

switch on the router first'.
enable the wireless zero configuration service from the services.

select the wireless connection tab and click on enable.

your wireless connection should be on.
