pop ups?

Whilst viewing a page on the internet on my lap top I keep getting random pages opening on another tab. Can anyone help me with how to stop this. Thanks.

err.. use the pop up blocker - on IE it's under tools?
Also clear tempfiles and cookies from your browser
And use block Pop Ups optio under IE <Tools<Internet Opions<Privacy

delete the temp , cookies and history from the internet explorer.

open the internet explorer.go to tools >internet options>advanced> un check the tab open each windows in a separate folder.

click ok and apply.

Okay if you are using Mozilla Firefox, then to stop pop-pus try these things:
> Open Firefox
> Tools
> Options
> Go to Contents Tab
> Now check the pop-pups blocking box. Click OK.
> Restart the Firefox once.
