Can I get adobe without the internet?
I need to use adobe on a computer that doesn't have access to the internet? Is it possible to get it on a disk? What I don't understand is that if I need to look at a pdf file on my home computer that has internet access then I get something that says download it for free, but I can't find that I can get a disk for free. There are some on ebay but would they be genuine?? I have tried to send adobe to my memory stick to transfer it to the non-internet computer but to no avail. I just don't have enough knowledge on this. Answers in layman's terms please!

if it's one of the free products then just download the install file from adobe copy it to your memory stick and then install it on the computer from the memory stick
if it's one of the pay for products then you will have to buy it, then it will come on CD so you can easily install it on the computer

I have adobe reader on this computer and have copied it to my memory stick using 'send to'. I made sure I went though 'my computer' so that I didn't just save the shortcut, but when I then try to open it on the other computer it says it doesn't know which program to use to open it and asks me to choose, which stumps me as I assume it then wants adobe to open it. Am I in a vicious circle with this??
Aha, have sent the actual .exe to my stick now, rather than the shortcut but now I get a message saying it can't install it cos it can't locate the AGM.dll. What is that when its at home? I shall have to sign off now as only work part time but shall check for replies either at home this evening or back at work on Thursday. I am a secretary for a one man business, hence not having any IT support! Thanks for help so far...
Adobe is fine ... but it's big and lumpy - unless you need to view some special formats
viewing standard pdf files
Sumatra is 1.1Mb
http://kjkpub.s3.amazonaws.com/sumatrapdf/rel/ SumatraPDF-0.9.3-install.exe
and it works from a usb stick as well
foxit is bigger (3mB) and has an e-bay add on! but it's not intrusive
