Hi, My new laptop comes complete with McAfee SecurityCentre protection (30 day trial) installed.
As I have always used Norton Security on my computers and still have 8 months subscription remaining on it - how do I go about safely removing the McAfee software from my laptop to enable me to download my Norton Security?
Or, am I being foolish...is McAfee much better than Norton...I remember reading a review which stated McAfee doesn't slow down the computer as much as Norton does?!!
Any advice and removal instructions (or not) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks x

As with most antivirus programs, simply using the Add/Removal Program function in Windows is not enough. You'll need to run the McAfee Removal Tool. You can find more information on this tool at http://mcafee-removal-tool.com/
