copy still pictures from dvd to computer

HELP, I have been given a dvd made up of still pictures with a audio background.
I want to copy a couple of the pictures to my computer. How do I do this? Have widows xp in a 2007 Dell

Do you not get options on your screen when you put the dvd into the drive?

the dvd is a slide show with audio background. When I insert dvd it is played on the software media direct. There is nothing on that menu that shows how to do what I want.

Take the DVD out of the drive, then go through My Computer on Desktop, then right click cd/dvd icon (usually Drive D:). Insert disk back in drive.
Choose the Explore option and see what you get.
