Mystery Download
I have an Icon on my screen and I cannot place how it came to be there. It is the icon to download > Driver Detective < When I open it and start to read the Blurb It would seem to be what it says (?) It explains that it is a trial version from >PC Drivers Headquarters.Inc < for evaluation purposes. It then states I may install & use the software on ten (10) computers for internal purposes for a period of one year.
My point is I do not understand as I have not been asked to pay anything and cannot find any further request for cash, is it a con or am I just too wary?

If you decide to download the software, use that CNET link or get it directly from here:

(That way you'll be sure of getting what you want. It's possible, though probably unlikely, that the icon you've got might take you to a malware program which is simply masquerading as Driver Detective. Better safe than sorry!).
