I have received an e-mail stating that my mailbox is nearly full and may not be able to receive many more e-mails even though I am always emptying all of my boxes on a regular basis. Even when they are empty it says I have used 25%. I also empty the recycle bin regularly. What else can I do? TIA

The message is from Admin, and I quote ` IMPORTANT. Your mailbox is approaching it`s limit. unquote.
(Just in case ACtheTROLL tells me I haven`t explained it in detail. lol
you're not very good at this are you ...
you've already said your mailbox is full - the exact wording is irrelevant

who supplies your e-mail?
and what total capacity does that give? - 25% of what?
are you including spam in "all your boxes"
it says - which It is it?
which reader are you using
Question Author
AC, You are correct, I`m not very good at this, which is why I`m asking you for your help. I am still a novice at 74yrs of age, so please be a little patient, but I`m eager to learn. Now, to the biz.
1. My provider is Yahoo.
2. 25% of mailbox (8MB out of 30MB) is full.
3. Reader? Virgin Media XP???
I hope this is what you req`d. MTIA
I await your reply with anticipation.
Where`s Chris and Ethel these day`s?
Check your sent items and deleted items. These may count towards your usage.
Question Author
Squarebear, as mentioned in my first post I do this on a regular, even daily basis.
Yahoo should offer unlimited storage, and does not count spam or deleted messages towards your space usage. So it's not clear why you seem to be limited to 30MB of space, and equally unclear why, when you've only used 8MB anyway, you'd get such messages. Are there links to click in these messages? (Don't click them!) Are you sure it's not spam? What's the return email address?

I would ignore the emails as by all appearances you're not using too much space.

Or, send a message to Yahoo's tech help asking this same question.

does indeed say unlimited storage so agree with dr b - it does sound a bit spammy - there is a contact us option in help - suggest you copy and paste the text to them

chris - he's still about

ethel ..... she came back from holls in december (last post I found was end of dec ... since then - nothing)

the obvious guess is that she's in the clouds advising the big G on how he should have designed the universe (hope I'm wrong)

Oh Bejeesus AC don`t say that....... ETHEL R U OUT THERE? Does anyone know?
Question Author
I`ve now deleted the admin message by pressing the spam button and now have that I am using 2% of my mailbox (581KB out of 30MB) so everything is honkey again. Cheers.
