'! The Catayst Control Centre is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable your ATI adapter using the Displays Manager'
I can't seem to find the right sections in my computer to correct this.
sorry, What you need to do is go online to ATI Radeon,
look for downloads then down load the driver version as shown to you, sorry if I misled you.Roger
Still struggling with this, Roger. How do I find which site is genuine for the download. I found what looks to be a genuine site but I'm being asked which driver I want to download.
Surely I should know which ATI driver version I already have on my laptop before I start?
The message on my screen did say to 'enable my ATI adapter using the Displays Manager'......would this be an easier option and, if so, how do I go about it?
My laptop is an Acer Aspire which I bought last November.
wee that does explain why your drivers are not compatible with the ATI software, it's not an ATI video card in the laptop.
goto control Panel>Programs and Features. Select the 'ATI - Software Uninstall Utility' option and click the Change/Remove button. Follow the prompts from there to uninstall the ATI Catalyst software, and reboot as prompted.
I have an ATI graphics card in my desktop PC and i've never been able to get the Catalyst Contol centre to work with it.I emailed ATI and they could not solve the problem for me despite the fact my card and the software are supposed to be compatible.I uninstalled the control centre and now just update my drivers manually.
click start > run and type in "devmgmt.msc" and hit enter, click on the hardware tab and then on the device manager button, and then click on the little plus next to display adapters and it should say what card it is.
acer direct says
Video
Graphics Processor / Vendor NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS TurboCache supporting 1280MB
Video Memory GDDR2 SDRAM - 512 MB
Max Allocated RAM Size 768 MB
and it also says intel proc ....
however if it looks like an ati - and smells like an ati (it certainly seems to be working like an ati)
there are a couple of models - the gemstone blue looks to be sold as a bit of a gamin machine - suppose could be an rebundle
Thank you...I looked at the Acer site but after ticking the boxes I'm not being offered any options for ATI under my model number.
Can you tell me whether all the options which appear are all updates for my laptop and do I click and 'open' them to install?? This is all very confusing.
I did notice the warning about the Bio settings so won't go there.
If these are essential updates why wasn't I emailed avbout them??
