Access hard drive on my desktop pc -laptop?

my desktop pc mobo failed and i am now using a laptop.
Is it still possible in some way to access the internal hard drive on my desktop pc from my laptop bearing in mind the pc is rather dead?

you need a usb caddy then simply put the pc hard drive into it and connect it to your laptop.
