I had an automatic update last night..if thats what you mean
Are you uninstalling the old display driver before you install the new one, or are just installing over the old one? Normally it probably wouldn't make much difference, but if the actual driver is corrupt, then it may well do.
my thought too

uninstall the old - cancel detecting new - restart - cancel detecting new .... install drivers - reboot

How do i uninstall the old ones? Would it be in nVidia Drivers? i seen that in Add and Remove Programs
Yeah it would. Usually if you click add/remove on the Nvidia drivers in the add/remove list, it will then give you another set of options for which drivers to uninstall.

You should be able to put use a checkbox to select "display drivers only" or just only select the display drivers to be uninstalled. That way, if you have anything else that uses a Nvidia driver, like a motherboard, it will remain unaffected. If there are no other Nvidia devices then it will simply pop a message saying that it will uninstall the display driver.

Then just do what ACtheTROLL said. Ignore messages about finding new hardware that the system gives you, reboot, ignore again, install the new drivers, reboot and then you're done.
