Hotmail attachments

My hotmail has stopped giving me the option of photo or file when I want to add an attachment to an outgoing message. It seems to have reverted to the old method where I have to trawl through docs and pics and can only upload one photo at a time, which takes ages. What has happened and how can I get the other system back?
