Thanks. I am talking about XP and Outlook Express.
you need to add the relevant toolbar option that allows you to alter the font style & font size.

Using Outlook Express when writing or answering e-mails I have gone to the Tools and there is no choice for altering the size or anything else to produce the e-mail I require.
When creating a message , under the subject line is a toolbar. when you click to type your message it is activated
if youre using plain text you maybe wont get options, change to rich text, it also might be under Tools, Options, Font
Emails can be sent and received in 2 formats - plain text and rich text (HTML).

If your email system is set up to send and receive in plain text then you get NO formatting options.

If it is set a Rich Text (HTML) then you can create formatting.

Use the options in your email system to switch between plain text and rich text.

Note, if you CREATE an email in rich text, but the person who gets it has their systyem set up to receive plain text only then they will not see ANY of the formatting.
I am on XP with Outlook Express.

To set rich text for outgoing mail select Tools, then Options then the Send tab.

Here you can set the mail sending format as HTML or Plain Text.
