My all singing and dancing package (Zone Alarm) is just abuot to exprie. Is this still one of the better security suites around, or should I go back to AVG which I used before, or is there a new one around?

I asked this question a while back. Chuck, the computer wizz, recommened Kaspersky. They are doing a half price deal on them at PC world at the moment.

A friend has just bought Norton (oh dear) and has only received one email since! That's in a week. But it does look like good value.
Thanks for replying so quickly.

thanks - reading the small print I don't need to renew till end of November. Wonder why they are trying to charge me now!
I think I'll hold fire for a while. I'm sure they'll have another special ofer.
Or, instead of paying, and since you have experience of using both packages why not:

1) Download and use the free version of Zone Alarm Firewall and
2) Download and use the free version of AVG antivirus?

That way, you won't ever have to worry about expiring or waiting for special offers and you'll have practically the same protection, with the main difference being you didn't have to open your wallet.
Buy an old Norton Internet Security disc for a tenner or so on e-bay.

After installing it you will be offered the chance to download the 2010 upgrade for free.
If you're buying, then NOD32 or Kaspersky are the current best. And for free...AVG and Avast.
