Dates format in WORD

When I input, e.g., 3rd February, the rd is shown as superscript. Where can I find how to turn this off?

Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type > Click to remove tick alongside 'Ordinals . ..' > OK

Depending on the version of Word, I find that by adding a space after typing the date, the format will revert to how you typed it instead of automatically applying that annoying superscript.
