I am a computer beginner and a silver-surfer. I wanted to watch a BBC programme and I installed
BBC iplayer. However, when I try to watch the programme it plays for a couple of seconds and stops, then restarts for a couple more seconds and stops again etc. etc.
What did I do wrong? I tried to re-install and I was told I had already installed BBC iplayer.
Why can't I watch a programme? Many thanks in advance for your help.

You may not be doing anything wrong. The programmes are streamed down the internet so one factor is the way you recive it. I presume you have broadband but what size? 2MB or more. What is the spec of your PC. Try pausing the programme for a couple of minutes then try to play it you may then see an improvement
Basically you are watching it quicker than it can be downloaded from the internet.

You could either try to get a faster broadband connection, or try watching at a time when the interent is quieter (in the morning perhaps).
