First I would like to thank the 3 people who gave their answers to my recent question about copying vinyl to CD. I am using a device by TEVION, a music/audio converter, this is placed between the record deck and a USB socket on the computer. The computer will record the track but I cannot hear this happening. I use Roxio software, supplied with the Tevion and it was Roxio who said I should install a sound card !!!!! Any more thoughts please?

You should find 2 or 3 jack sockets on your computer. 1 pink, 1 green and (possibly) 1 blue. They are the inputs and outputs of your soundcard. You need to connect some earphones, powered speakers, or the aux in of your hifi system, to the green one.
