One mouse-click opens several windows or closes all opened windows.
I don't think the fault lies with the browser/s, it happens off-line also.
How can I fix this problem? Thanks

I just had the same problem - in fact I get it at least once a year. It's called a buggered-up mouse. What happens is that the little micro-switch gets worn out which causes it to bounce when you click. I cured mine in the same way that I always do: bought a new mouse
...incidentally, I've found that Logitech are the worst when it comes to this problem. My last was a Logitech gaming mouse which cost 120 quid and lasted around 10 months.
I agree with rojash, sounds like you need a new mouse.

Have you got a spare you can try.

If not you can get one from W H Smiths, Argos, Tesco, Sainsburys etc for a few pounds.

Thanks Rojash. Only now saw your reply. I do have a new mouse and will give it a go. Was just trying to get maximum mileage from this one. ;-)
Thank you too VHG. x

Do any of you techy folks keep in touch with Acthetroll? I do miss his wit and his very helpful answers.

So do I.
Still, at least ole chickenlicken's still around.
Not entirely sure about being called chickenlicken :)

Do agree though, AC leaving was a sad day for this site.
I'd buy a cat :)

Changing the mouse made a huge difference, and it solved all the mouse problems. Thanks Rojash!
