Text size in Firefox bookmarks side bar
I have just installed Firefox and am currently getting to grips wtih it, having hitherto been used to IE7 (and 8). I have got my old IE Favourites in the Bookmarks sidebar but the text size is a little too small for easy reading. I know how to increase the zoom level of the main window (Ctrl + +) but is it possible to alter the text size in the sidebar?

In the middle of that is the FONTS & COLORS section, click on ADVANCED, and set the MINIMUM FONT SIZE to something greater than it's current value.
Or you could try changing the settings for the individual fonts that are used.
There might be a more specific option for the bookmarks sidebar which if the above doesn't work or nobody comes up with an alternative I'll try to find (I don't use the sidebar).

Sorry that didn't work. I've been trying to find an answer, without success. One of the contributors here is Chuck 'IT God & Lord of the Cyber Wave' Fickens who seems to know al the answers to these sorts of questions, so with any luck he will find your thread and come up with an answer.
I expect that there will be an entry in about:config for the font size, and as a last resort (aka an unsatisfactory botch) possibly one or two themes which might suffice.
I will try to find an answer on another site where answers are usually forthcoming.

I had spotted this :)
I am pretty sure the only way to change the font size for the bookmarks sidebar is to change the system wide font size setting.
This will increase the font sizes in everything though, so may cause unwanted effects elsewhere (though id it does just change it back)
to change the system font size : -
Right click anywhere on your desktop and select properties, then click on the appearance tab and click the advanced button.
in the new panel that opens select message box in the item drop down list, you can then play about with different font sizes until you find one you want.

I have received an answer on a WebUser forum http://bit.ly/8Miunu which gives the same sort of solution as Chuck 'IT God & Lord of the Cyber Wave' Fickens has given ^^^^^ but also includes a link http://bit.ly/68ennv which tells you how to do it for the sidebar only by adding code to the userChrome.css.
Hope that helps!
