MS code 33 how do I get rid of it?

gonna need much more info than that.

code 33 is a general error code that just means a device isn't responding.

what device?

Sorry thats all I got,went through the device manager hardware but the list is not flagging anything up.

I've downloaded a program "Error Messages Windows v.2.9" from www.gregorybraun.com which comes up when I boot up telling me I've got this problem. I am now beginning to think if this was wise.Maybe i should take it out.

I have taken the program out and reloaded fault has cleared.I can only presume that a program I downloaded to play my nephews dvd's created a shared file fault.
