Foxit is my default PDF viewer and I regularly receive emails with attached PDFs which I can save and open with Foxit without any problem.
No problem so far, Foxit is good, but it doesn't let me cut text from a document in the way Adobe does.
So in the past I have just right clicked a Foxit PDF and opened with Adobe 9.1.
Suddenly I can't do this any more, the PDF opens to show a grey page - nothing there.
Any ideas? I have downloaded the latest versions of the two programmes to see if this was the answer but no!

Foxit does support clipping of text but it uses an area rather than being locked into the original character sequence like Acrobat.

Press the text select button and highlight the desired area of the document. The text is automatically sent to the clipboard without having to choose Copy.
