i am new at this game and am in the middle of doing a defrag it says it can go on for hours i need to go to my bed can i close my computer down but will it stop the defrag working, or should i just leave on hibernate would appreciate areply soon so i can get some shut eye thanks a lot

Why not just turn off the monitor and go to bed?

It will probably go into standby when it finishes.

if it's a desktop push the power button on the big screen thing you look at and go to bed.

if it's a laptop leave the screen open and just go to bed, it will go into power save when it's done.
