if you click on the picture a litte box should appear, on it one of the symbols should be a dog surrounded by lines, click on that and choose the option that has the dog with the lines over it. that should work for you
'. . . in Microsoft' ???
in Microsoft WHAT?

If you're using Microsoft WORD you can't place text over pictures. Microsoft Word is a word processor, not a desk top publisher (which is the type of software you need to overlay text onto pictures).

If you've got Microsoft PUBLISHER (which is a DTP program) you can use it to achieve your desired result. (Post again if you need instructions for this program).

If you've not got a DTP program (which is always vastly more flexible than any word processing software), download and install Serif PagePlus SE (which is free and will let you do what you want).

You can only wrap the text around the picture not put text on top of the picture.

Buenchico - the other thread says it's Works, another instance of when someone could have added that extra info to their original question by posting it as a reply rather than as a separate question.
You could have one page with just the pictures arranged within it, and another page with the text arranged within that, print the page with pictures and then use that print-out as the paper for the printout of the text page i.e use the printer to literally print text over the pictures.
You can put text over pictures in word documents Buenchico, just double checked. If you insert the picture into the document then double click on it, a box should appear labelled format picture, click on the tab named ' Layout', and there will be the image of the dog. click on the one with the lines over the dog, labelled 'behind text', click ok and you will be able to write words over the picture
But in Works - which is what the other (now disappeared) thread said - the only options are inline with text, square and tight.
