my notebook was infected with trojans over the weekend - have scanned with AVG and Anti Malware but can't get rid. Plus there have been 3 fraudulent activities on my credit card in the last 24 hours (the card I only use for internet purposes).
so am going for a reinstall. I have 2 CDs supplied with my notebook - one titled system recovery media and one titles system software media - is that is all that I need (apart from additional office/word) software? any other advice?
You won't fix it ever just using those two.
It can be done, but would not take 5 minutes.
Looks like you have the two discs you would need. Recovery is the important one. Anything else (motherboard/system drivers, etc) "could" be downloaded. When you have loaded it and installed a good AV, make sure you get full security updates from Microsoft or The Software Patch (if not registered copy)
