How can I remove Firefox

I need to remove Firefox which has been causing problems. I will use Internet Ezplorer and probably reinstall Firefox. I cannor remove Firefox and please don't refer me to Control Panel - I've tried all the usual methods but it will not go. So what next please?

Why do you need to remove it?

IE and firefox are totally different and separate programs, they won't interfere with each other at all.

Just set IE to be your default browser.

as for firefox, just reinstall it without removing the old version.

Thank yuou Chuck Fickens. I am aware that IE abd Firefox do notaffect each other but my problem is that Firefox will no longer open. I have done a new dowload and restored to a sensible earlier date wothout success so at the moment I use only IE. I prefer Firefoz but did use IE now and then as a secondary program. I thought of using a program wipe softare which I have only used one when I wiped a disk I was donating to someone else but I am loath to use this method. I'll try another download and hope. Cheers
