Welcome to my first post
And thank you for reading it.
Mt wife and I both have Macs and I have a Logitec Squeezebox radio. I have all of my music and films on an external hard drive that is normally always attached by USB to my Mac.
I have an old, unused Dell tower PC.
I think that I want to atach the PC by cable to our wireless router and move all of the files from the external PC onto it and use it as an "always on" server, so that both Macs and the Squeezebox can use the files.
Is it do-able, and what must I do to the PC to help make it happen?
Be gentle now.

For the mac to be able to see the drive you just need to share it on the network.
I personally have done it using a version of linux installed on the computer and then installing the squeezebox server, but it can work equally well running windows and the windows version of the server.

So sit back and relax, and let AB take you away from it all,but you may never come back to reality! LOL
