Cleaning-Up 78's Digitally.

Greetings each.
I am trying to find a reliable method of removing "hiss" and "needle noise" from 78rpm records, particularly those featuring theatre/cinema organs which I have started collecting.
I normally use "Wavepad" for sound editing after uploading from a bog-standard analogue 78rpm turntable. Sometimes I can get away with just a mixer deck or graphic equaliser.
There must surely be some software out there somewhere which will assist with the removal of other extraneous frequencies?
Any ideas please?

I used a product from Roxio called Spin Doctor to digitise and clean up my vinyl collection. It worked really well even on highly used LP's from the 60's. This was Mac software but Roxio does an equivalent on Windows called "LP to MP3". This will do the trick I would think

If still having problems, Goggle for and download "Power Sound Editor Free".
This program has a noise reduction feature listed under "Effects".

Yes get audacity, click on 'effect' on top menu bar, search down list, there will be 'click removal' and further down 'noise remover' each easy to use.
