I had presumed I had a USB port not problem as my mouse stopped working. It then transpired my PC (Packard Bell 6810 Sli running XP) was hanging after a fee minutes from boot up. When starting in safe mode it runs with no problems. What should I start looking at or testing when it is in this mode? Is this a software or virus issue? Can I chk my hardware or wouldn't it be this? Thk u

Have you installed anything recently? Go to the Start Menu, then Run and type in msconfig...press enter. The startup tab will tell up what's starting up. Search on the net for any process with a "tick" against it to see what it does. Untick if it's not needed.

Perform a full virus scan as well.
