hibernation

don't seem able to use hibernate feature now, I think I maybe disabled it a while ago to save space on hard disc, any help restoring would be appreciated, dougie.

On Xp it's start,settings, power options, hibernate.tab.

Sorry missed a step out!
i have xp pro and i lost my ability to hibernate or go in stand by a long time ago when i go use either of them i just shuts down within 2 seconds and cannot be started again by any way except normal starting procedures
i gave up trying to find out why
Hibernate needs a certain amout of disk space. Free up some space and try again.
