I am running Windows Vista, and am registered as the sole user and administrator on my PC. I occasionally need to delete certain files or folders but am told "Access is denied. You need permission to carry this out..." Can anyone explain what I have to do to get these items deleted? Thanks.

Ah - Vista's "you don't need to worry your pretty little head about that" attitude - one of many reasons I despise it.
If I were you, I'd upgrade to xp or Windows 7
I've just noticed that my link goes to a reference to Windows 7, rather than to Windows Vista (which, if nothing else, indicates that the problem is still occurring!). Sorry about that, but it might still be worth taking a look to see if it relates to your problem.

Thanks, folks! Buenchico`s website solved the problem. I, too, can`t stand Vista. Why did they ever have to mess with the near perfect XP?
My theory is that they deliberately f'k up every now and then to make people hungry for the new version!
