Computer Technology On Electronic Organ.

Greetings each!
I own an older-style Roland Atelier AT-80R electronic organ which uses a floppy disk drive for storage/registration/midi/recording purposes, whereas the newer models are now USB.
FDD's are fine for small files although one cannot load many onto a single disk.
Does anyone out there know of a suitable interface which I could connect in order to replace the FDD with a USB input please?

PRoably not.

If it's designed to work with a floppy then I doubt it will support any other media or file system.

I am awaiting a response from Roland at the moment, although there must be some type of interface available surely?
As I possess a USB external FDD, the reverse is clearly technically possible.

No it's not.

A floppy drive interface is an old interface that was only ever designed to have a floppy disk drive plugged into it.

A USB interface is a modern interface that was designed from the outset to have a huge range of devices plugged into it.

Hi Squidgelet10, I have a Korg PA50 which also uses an FDD for recording etc.
However, I now use a double ended 3.5mm stereo lead to connect the organ (via the headphone socket) to the computer (via the Line-in socket) and listen to the organ via the computer speakers while recording the playing on a FREE program called "Power Sound Editor FREE" (Google for it)
I don't use the FDD now and everything works fine once the volume is adjusted correctly.

Sorry but I think you are all missing the point, particularly Mr Fickens who appears to have lost the plot completely!
I definitely AIN'T trying to find a way to bypass the problem. What I want to know is:
Is there an interface which COULD be used?
We are talking about computer technology here, which is what the organ is using.
PC's have interfaces for USB connections, although I accept that these are integrated into the motherboard.
It IS possible, but the big question is HOW?
Until I get a professional opinion it seems no-one here is able to help, unfortunately.
