Surely there must be a way to get images in an e-mail to appear in the e-mail, automatically?

Every e-mail I receive with images, does not display the image, however, when I right-click on an 'X' and download image manually, it also downloads all images on the page.

I have searched the help and various setup functions, but, I just cannot see anything that might allow the auto-download of pics.

Also, it seems to take a minute or so for me to receive an e-mail. I have been on the phone several times when someone swears they sent the e-mail, but, I wait a very, very long time before it shows up.

Thank you for any advice.

It's possible - especially if you're using a mobile dongle, or have a limited download allowance - that the PC is set to do this deliberately to avoid using too much of your download allowance.

when I receive a message with pictures, there's a button at the top middle of the page which says 'show images' - I just click on that rather than download all the files.
Go to File, Options, Trust Center, Trust Center Settings, Automatic Download and then choose the settings you want.

The time to receive an email is down to your and the senders ISPs (and mail service providers if different). A minute or so isn't too long.

Time to receive an email is very variable - can take 10s of minutes for a large attachment.

Nice one GKU35

Never thought to look there. I like the new OUTLOOK, but, I sure am having difficulty understanding some of the and the way some things work.

Much appreciate the reponses from everyone else. I've filed it away for future reference.

No probs, glad I could help.

I use office 2007. Outlook 2007 doesn't have the ribbon interface but everything else does. You'll get used to it and it does become intuitive and easier to use than the old menu system.

Good Luck!
