Cant access IE on Lappy

I have just had my stand alone and Lappy overhauled last week.
Was able to have both working concurrently off the same router.
Now only the stand alone works.Lappy wont allow me access to IE although I have the full WLAN signal.
How else can I access the Internet and what do you think may have caused it?

I hope this makes sense its the easiest way I can explain....

Have you reconfigured your laptop to acess your network again after you got it back. What OS are you running ? Go to your Network and Sharing center and see if the network is there if not set it up again.
