My Mouse has gone Mad

I have one of those mice which isn't attached by a wire. It wasn't working at all the week and I tried looking on the control panel but I might as well be trying to split an atom for all my understanding of it. Anyway, my son called round and just pressed RESET on the bottom of the mouse. Since then it's working but it seems to be holding on to things. ie I have to click twice to get it to let go, and if I look at Streetview it spins round and round. It's practically impossible to highlight to copy and paste. How do I fix it please.

I have Chuck. It works fine - it's just this needing 2 clicks before it will "let go". Hard to explain sorry. I thought there may be something in the settings of it that would help.

I have just replaced my mouse - not gone mad, just worn out ( mouse,not me). If you end up doing the same, you could do a lot worse than this: excellent quality for the price, very sophisticated and 3-year warranty - from Lidl (current special):

Try moving the mouse and receiver closer.

if it's one of those optic wireless ones it will need pairing up again and starting from scatch

I didnlt know wireless ones would have a ball, how would the batteries fit in?
