`Webdings`, what, and where, are they?

I`m lookinf for a simple `tick` that you get when you give a correct answer to a question.

click on the tick in the charactor map, then click select followed by copy at the bottom. you will now have the tick stored in the clipboard, you can then open a word document and select paste from the edit menu and it will place the tick in the document.

Hi carlton,

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > then....Character Map :0) x
It'll be part of a font called Wingdings. What software are you 'inserting' the tick into?
Here you go, carlton....copy and paste this to keep when you need it :0) x

Hi yogi-bear...I`ve looked through Wingdings 1. 2. and 3. and can`t find a `tick` anywhere.

I have found a `tick` in `Webdings` but I dont know how to `Copy and Paste` it, just in case I should ever want to use the facility.
