My daughter gave me a flashdrive to store or backup files/photos. It is a small black thing. I don't have the instructions that came with it. I was wondering, can I put it in my purce besides my cell phone, will any magnetic arcts damage it? Any special care? Thanks

Yes, it will be perfectly safe next to your phone.

Flash drives are not magnetic media so they are not affected by magnets at all

(and phone don't have large magnets in them anyhow)
^ Reminds me of the Gas Meter question.
