Lap Top Goes Off

Everytime I put on my L/T it boots up then says it's logging off so I have to start it again. Is there a way round this.

Is the battery flat?

Is it a new laptop (or have you recently reinstalled it) and if so did you activate windows within the 30days?

Neither, using it powered to mains didn't activate Windows in last 30 days.
