Computer too slow.

Hi all
My laptop (Acer Aspire7520) iis running very slow and as I am in the process of selling it I would like to remove some items to another computer or somewhere for safe keeping also my son has a lot of music on itunes which I can either save or delete,
Can someone please help me to get this done please?..

Freeware backup program Macrium Reflect will take a full "snapshot" image of your computer. This will ensure you don't miss anything. You can copy the image to an external hard drive. The image can then be "browsed" and individual files copied/viewed. Note, you will need to install Macrium on your new computer. The image can be compressed so it does not take up much room.

try download spybot search and destroy a free program you can download off the internet, then install it and run the program, it will scan your computer,It may take a while but it will find all the bad files that have sneeked onto your computer and are slowing it down,Once the scan is done,click the fix button and it should then remove all the bad stuff and you may find your laptop/computer is running better,Its free and worth a try! good luck!

Hiya! Try download a program for free called "SPYBOT Search and Destroy" Install the program,alow the updates and then run it, It will do a scan of all your computer and everything on it,It finds files that sneak onto your computer when your on the internet.they run in the background and cause your computer to slow down. The Spybot program finds all these bad files and lets you remove them off your computer! Its free and worth a try! you may find it helps alot!

Easiest option is to buy an external hard drive for about £40 so all the files you want to keep can be moved to that and no extra software is needed.

Incidentally, if you are selling the laptop because it's slow then why not try and fix the problem that's making it slow rather than buying a new one, that model is a fairly recent dual core laptop so it should be fine for most users needs.
