sure, why not? It's just a browser and you can have other browsers on your computer at the same time if you want. Firefox is fine by me, but Chrome seems to be pretty popular.
MarkRae swears by it and I have no reason to doubt him, but haven't used it myself as I am quite happy with Firefox at the moment.
Worth a go............I found it great to start with but after a while it seemed to go slower...
i swear by it, find it a lot faster than explorer
It will run rings round IE and FireFox in terms of speed? Why? Well, computer software developers are well familiar with the 80/20 rule which says that around 80% of users use around 20% of the total functionality built into any piece of software. Lots of people use Microsoft Excel - very few of them plot Poisson distribution curves or connect to MySql databases with it. But they could...

What Google did was to make the 20% that most users need very fast indeed by removing the other 80% that relatively few people use.

So, if you need an incredibly sophisticated web browser which does all sorts of fancy things, then Google Chrome most definitely isn't for you.

If, on the other hand, all you really want from a web browser is to load websites really quickly, keep out viruses and do in-built spell-checking, you can't go wrong...
Can't argue with that!

Thank you all for answering. Mark Rae that was some reply, and I think I will give it a try, sounds good to me, anything sophisticated would be wasted !!!!!!
If you don't like google chrome try Pale moon, Visit www.palemoon.org for the info and free download, its ment to be 20%faster than firefox and alot of people seem to be switching to it.I still rate chrome as the top one though.
Thanks. I was also looking at others as l only really use IE for the google option.
The only thing l don't like about these other browsers is the way it displays the favorites.
In IE l can get them all listed whereas they just seem to appear different in other browsers (perhaps if l start using a different browser l'll get used to it). I'm just so used to IE!
