transfer programs

on my desktop computer I have microsoft works, is it possible to transfer to laptop?
I like the task launcher on it and use it a lot. Or can you not copy a program at all?

Do you have the installation discs for Works.
You generally can't copy programs, they need to be installed from the original disc.

no scotman i don't everything was already installed on computer. i have a recovery disc came with it. it's os xp.

Microsoft have stopped developing Works and will stop selling it soon.

May be a good idea to start looking for some other product that does what you want.

Try OpenOffice or LibreOffice (both free)
