Windows Updates - MS Office 2007 failures

Every update for MS Office 2007 (only use XL) fails with some obscure message. All other updates successful System is as secure as can be.Should I be worried or using some software to overcome the problem

If u mean the error message - it's something like 646 error - when I follow this thru there are numerous options none of which relate to anything on screen. I use an Asus X705 (which is superb) and experience no other problems (apart from BT sometimes slowing down the internent connection!!) It only affects Office 2007 updates. Excel works fine.
Something like 646 error. Can you be more precise?
