samsung or belkin wireless adapter

I have a sumsung tele which can be connected to the internet with either an ethernet cable or wireless adapter. Does the adapter have to be the: Samsung wireless adapter wis09abgn or will the Belkin wireless adapter do just as well.
I have a bt home hub router, which is adequate for my laptop downstairs. will I get a signal via the Belkin adapter?
