Firefox problem

Any help on this one please? When I open Firefox it automatically creates lots of new tabs running along the top of the screen. I am unable to stop this - therefore rendering Firefox unusable. It appearsto have got itself into a knot.

Which version of FF do you have?
With my version (5) click the small Firefox tab at the top left corner.
Click options - then options again.
Click the 'General tab' and change the startup from 'show my windows and tabs to last time'.

hc4361 - Many thanks for the reply. I have not updated to Firefox version 5 so I guess I'm on the previous one. When I open Firefox there are new tabs right across the screen each one named Untitled. Then more are added in quick succession and I cannot stop them.

hc4361 - Hi again.I have now installed Firefox Version 5 and have been able to remove all the 441 unwanted tabs! Now just have to get used to this new version. Cheers

Glad you're sorted.
If you have tabs that you always use and want to keep, right click on the tab and click 'pin as app tab'.
This makes the tab very small but still live and you can't accidentally close it.
Easy to unpin if you don't like it.

441? lol ... More tabs than I ever heard open at same time.

Next time ... R Click on first tab and select ... 'Close Other Tabs' : )
